Choose \u201cSwitcher\u201d and tap \u201cRear camera\u201d: your own camera comes in as a source.<\/p>\n<h2>Frequently asked questions<\/h2>\n<details>\n<summary>The camera does not appear on the switcher<\/summary>\n<ul>\n<li>Check the local network permission on both: Settings \u203a Privacy &#038; Security \u203a Local Network \u203a PULCAM.<\/li>\n<li>Hotel, office or guest networks sometimes stop devices from seeing each other. On the switcher, Settings \u203a \u201cAllow direct Wi\u2011Fi\u201d: they connect to each other without a router.<\/li>\n<li>Move the devices closer together and keep both apps open: iOS does not allow camera use in the background.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n<details>\n<summary>Where are the recordings?<\/summary>\n<p>In the Files app \u203a On My iPhone (or iPad) \u203a PULCAM. The switcher saves the programme; each camera saves its full-quality copy on the device itself or, if a USB\u2011C drive is connected, in its DCIM folder.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<details>\n<summary>How do I edit afterwards with the camera copies?<\/summary>\n<p>With every recording, the switcher saves the edit list as .fcpxml (Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve) and .edl. Put that list and the camera copies in one folder and import it: the cut is rebuilt at full quality.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<details>\n<summary>How do I stream live?<\/summary>\n<p>On the switcher, tap LIVE and add the destination: YouTube, Twitch or your service\u2019s RTMP address, with its stream key. The key is stored in the device\u2019s Keychain. PULCAM asks you to confirm before it starts.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<details>\n<summary>Can I switch shots without touching the screen?<\/summary>\n<p>Yes. With a keyboard (1\u20134 for sources, space to toggle, A for automatic, R to record), with a MIDI controller or with a Stream Deck through Bitfocus Companion (\u201cGeneric HTTP\u201d module). It is all in the switcher settings \u203a \u201cRemote control (MIDI and Stream Deck)\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<details>\n<summary>It gets hot or the battery drains<\/summary>\n<p>For long recordings, plug the devices in and keep them out of direct sunlight. The switcher warns you if a camera is overheating. To stop anyone leaving the app by mistake, use Guided Access (Settings \u203a Accessibility).<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<details>\n<summary>How do I switch a device from camera to switcher?<\/summary>\n<p>In its Settings, \u201cUse this iPhone (or iPad) as the switcher\u201d or \u201cas a camera\u201d.
